MGA Entertainment wanted to increase the number of visitors to its stores and strengthen customer loyalty by integrating digital competitions into its POS campaigns. The aim was to create a seamless connection between online and offline experiences.
The prominent placement of QR codes in the stores was intended to motivate as many visitors as possible to take part in a browser-based competition. The digital scratch card was chosen as an efficient and quickly interactable element to attract customers' attention.
Visitors were able to interact with the digital scratch card immediately by scanning the QR codes and found out within seconds whether they had won and what their prize was. After a GDPR-compliant data query, participants received an email with information about the competition and current offers. This email also contained all the necessary details to collect the prize from the store, taking customers directly to the stores.
